How to make cbd oil?

CBD or cannabidiol is one of the molecules derived from hemp that has many benefits for any consumer. This molecule participates in the well-being of humans and is involved in the treatment of many diseases. Being actively sought after nowadays, CBD is available in different forms, especially in oil. It is generally marketed in specialized stores. However, you can make CBD oil for your own needs. If you want to have CBD oil in sufficient quantity, we have listed the steps to follow.

INGREDIENTS, EQUIPMENT AND STEPS IN THE PRODUCTION OF CBD OIL

The ingredients

For a 450g production of CBD oil, you need:

  • 28 g of hemp flowers;
  • 450 g of oil (any vegetable oil or coconut oil to your liking).

The equipment

For the production of CBD oil, you need:

  • Cooking plate;
  • Bain-marie;
  • A knife or grinder;
  • Sulfur paper;
  • A glass jar to store the oil;
  • Etamine

The different stages

The production of CBD oil proceeds as follows:

Step 1

The purpose of this first step is to give your hemp flowers a fine consistency. To achieve this, make use of the grinder or knife to get small, uniform pieces. Hemp flowers with a fine consistency optimize the extraction of the CBD.

Step 2

Then put a sheet of baking paper on the baking sheet and spread your crushed flowers on it. Your baking sheet can now go into the oven previously heated to 225°F (110°C). The baking time should be no longer than one hour. During this time, the decarboxylation process begins. As a reminder, this is a process that allows the conversion of CBDA into CBD without the loss of terpenes. At the end of this stage (exit from the oven), the hemp flowers will be crisp and browned.

Step 3

As soon as they are out of the oven, you can extract the CBD from the hemp flowers. To do this, pour your oil over the flowers and let them marinate for 2-3 hours. The mixture should not boil. It should only simmer so that you get a quality green-brown final product.

Step 4

In this step, you need to remove your mixture and pour it into the jar. It is important to make sure that it is clean and tightly sealed. The cheesecloth will act as a filter to separate the oil from the flowers. Get rid of the flowers once the extraction is complete and store your oil in a cool, dry place.

You have just made CBD oil ready to use. Is this the only way to go?

MAKING CBD OIL WITH ALCOHOL

Failing to use a carrier oil, you can make CBD oil with alcohol. Its advantage is that the finished product is stronger and more effective than the previous manufacture

Ingredients

  • About 100g of waste or 30g of crushed hemp flowers;
  • Hard alcohol or food alcohol.

Materials

  • Etamine;
  • Grinder;
  • Paper;
  • Spreading paper;
  • Baking paper;
  • Spatula;
  • Funnel;
  • Marine bath;
  • Plastic syringe;
  • container

The different stages

Step 1

To begin the production of CBD oil with alcohol, you must decarboxylate the hemp flowers. Decarboxylation involves grinding the plant material to a fine consistency. This (in the bowl) is then put in a preheated oven at 110°C for 1 hour.

Step 2

Once the decarboxylated material, pour alcohol into it to completely submerge it. The role of the alcohol is to extract the cbd present in the decarboxylated hemp flowers and the terpenes. Use the wooden spatula to stir the mixture for about 10 minutes. The mixture results in a final solution that is sufficiently loaded with components, including the desired CBD.

Step 3

The third step is the separation of the alcohol from the plant material. Since the alcohol is quite high in CBD, you just need to strain the mixture into the bowl using a cheesecloth. While filtering, make sure you get the most out of your flowers. To know you are getting it right, your alcohol will turn from a dark green color to a light color.

Step 4

After extraction, you need to set up your water bath. Failing that, use a saucepan and have it filled with water. Put your iron bowl in it to make a marinade.

Whether using the water bath or the saucepan, pour in your alcohol and turn the heat to low. Gradually, the alcohol will evaporate, and the mixture will become viscous after a few minutes (15 to 20 minutes). Take every precaution to prevent the alcohol vapor from igniting.

Step 5

Once you have the viscous mixture, you can suck it up with a syringe for the purpose of storing or using it. This gives you a highly concentrated CBD oil.

Now that you know how to make CBD oil, what will you do with it?

WHAT TO DO WITH CBD OIL?

Once you're past the production stage of CBD oil, you can use it for food consumption. In fact, CBD oil can be directly administered orally or used in preparations. In cooking, it can replace your usual oil. You can also use it in baking and candy making.

If you don't want to consume CBD oil, you can apply it directly to your skin to relieve some pain. When your muscles or feet are sore, the oil is great for a return to normal. It can also be combined with your body lotion to maintain your skin.

CBD oil can be put into capsules for consumption. Simply fill empty gelatin capsules with it, and they are ready to be consumed.

The uses of CBD oil are many. It is up to you to identify the reason you want to produce it. In any case, it is very beneficial for you as it helps in your wellness.
